Softball Recap: San Benito Sets Scoring Season-High Against Los Fresnos

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Benito). They blew past the Los Fresnos Falcons 21-2 on Friday. Considering the Greyhounds have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the third in a row for San Benito, bringing their record up to 11-7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Los Fresnos, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 10-8-1.

Coincidentally, San Benito and Los Fresnos will both be playing Veterans Memorial the next time they take the field. Los Fresnos will head out to face Veterans Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while San Benito will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
