Liberty Christian faced Garfield-Palouse in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Patriots blew past the Vikings 66-14. Considering the Patriots have won six games by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Liberty Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trenten Ralston, who threw for 241 yards and four TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes. Silas Bjur also helped with two scores in total.

Liberty Christian's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Ashton Hardenbrook, Cole Fricke, and Ryan Powell, who each picked up one sack apiece. Ryker Wageman got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Liberty Christian's record is now 8-1. As for Garfield-Palouse, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4.
