Baseball Recap: Penfield Patriots vs. Greece Athena Trojans
Penfield took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against Greece Athena, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Patriots won by a run and slipped past the Trojans 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Trojans on May 6th, they had to take a 16-1 defeat.

Penfield got a great performance from Ryan Rebmann as he tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. What's more, Rebmann posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Matt Scibienski, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Gabe Reyes was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs.
Penfield's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-15. As for Greece Athena, the loss snapped their winning streak at 13 games and leaves them with a 18-3 record.
Looking ahead, Penfield will head out to challenge Brighton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Greece Athena does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
