Basketball Recap: North Springs Takes a Loss

North Springs lost against Northview back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The North Springs Spartans took a blow against the Northview Titans, falling 62-20. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-13.

Kelly Reynolds went supernova for Northview, going 9 of 13 en route to 21 points. What's more, Reynolds also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Habiba Shakwir, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 13 points and six boards.

North Springs has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Northview, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Springs will host Tucker at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Northview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marist at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
