Baseball Game Preview: Woodside Wolverines vs. Menchville Monarchs

For the second straight game, Woodside will face off against Menchville. The Wolverines will head out on the road to take on the Monarchs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Woodside has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Woodside couldn't beat Menchville on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Wolverines lost 17-6 to the Monarchs. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Monarchs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Woodside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Mompoint, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Woodside's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Menchville, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
