Soccer Game Preview: Newport vs. Medical Lake

Newport hasn't had much luck against Medical Lake recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will square off against the Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Thursday, Newport didn't have quite enough to beat Lakeside and fell 2-1. Jack Youk was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Newport's goal came courtesy of Yerson Solis, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Medical Lake came up short against Northwest Christian School on Thursday and fell 3-1. Medical Lake haven't had much luck with Northwest Christian School recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Medical Lake's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Newport, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Newport might still be hurting after the 5-1 loss they got from Medical Lake in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Grizzlies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
