 Circle had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Chaparral Roadrunners  a   22-0 shutout  on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for Circle, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Whitney Wilbur was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and not a single walk). Wilbur was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news, Circle got a  massive  performance out of  Lauren Swilley, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.  Brynne Bowman was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Circle will have a chance to go back-to-back against Chaparral: the pair will be back at it again later today.
