Basketball Game Preview: Brownstown Central Braves vs. Greensburg Pirates

Last Saturday, Brownstown Central took their matchup with ease, bagging an 83-43 win over Rock Creek Academy. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Greensburg suffered their closest defeat since March 1, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of South Dearborn by a score of 49-47.

Brownstown Central's victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.1 points per game. As for Greensburg, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-7.

Everything came up roses for Brownstown Central against Greensburg when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 77-41 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brownstown Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
