Soccer Game Preview: Middle Creek vs. Seaforth

The Middle Creek Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Seaforth Hawks at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Middle Creek's victory against Panther Creek wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs won by a goal and slipped past the Catamounts 3-2. Middle Creek haven't had any issues with Panther Creek recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Avery Boles and Mia Bio scored all three of Middle Creek's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Seaforth came tearing into Wednesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 4-1 victory. Seaforth might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by three goals or more this season.

Seaforth pushed their record up to 8-2-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 63 goals over those six matches. As for Middle Creek, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.

Everything went Middle Creek's way against Seaforth in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, as Middle Creek made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
