Flag Football Recap: Monday's Victory Is Narbonne's 11th in Last 14 Outings

Narbonne won the last time they faced Carson and things went their way on Monday too. The Gauchos came out on top against the Colts by a score of 14-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Gauchos' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Colts are ranked 301st).

The critical scores for Narbonne came from Hidayah Meadows and Faith Ugoje.

Narbonne's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. In that department, DaVeigh Groce was the leader with three sacks.

Narbonne has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.6 points on average over those games. As for Carson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Narbonne is set to challenge their familiar foe Port of Los Angeles at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Carson will take on rival Banning at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Colts 13.2, the Pilots 10.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
