Soccer Game Preview: Highland vs. Liberty

The Highland Scots will be taking part in a tournament against the Liberty Patriots at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Highland's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Highland saw some tournament action on December 13th. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Shafter who was credited with the win. Shafter got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Highland's four.

Liberty is headed into the contest without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. They and Van Nuys finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Friday.

Owen Billson and Julian Struzyna scored both of Liberty's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-2. Liberty's draw makes their record 7-0-2 this season.
