Basketball Game Preview: Diego Rivera Huskies vs. Jefferson Democrats

The Diego Rivera Huskies are taking a road trip to take on the Jefferson Democrats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Wednesday, Diego Rivera didn't have quite enough to beat Dr. Maya Angelou Community and fell 46-43. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Jefferson took a blow against Los Angeles on Thursday, falling 70-31. The loss continues a trend for the Democrats in their matchups with the Romans: they've now lost eight in a row.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Diego Rivera, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Diego Rivera strolled past Jefferson when the teams last played back in January by a score of 57-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Diego Rivera since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
