Westfall is 8-2 against Southeastern since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Mustangs will take on the Panthers at 5:15 p.m. Westfall is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Westfall fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Grove City Christian on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 10-9. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aubrey Bickenheuser and Layla Geiger stepped up to the plate in a big way. Bickenheuser went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Geiger went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Bickenheuser has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jill Butcher, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Southeastern hadn't done well against Unioto recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Panthers walked away with a 7-4 win over the Shermans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Kylie Williams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). Williams was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Gracie Brown was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ally Fisher, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Westfall has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Southeastern struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
