Soccer Recap: Bishop Walsh Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Bishop Walsh's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Chestnut Ridge Lions by a score of 3-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Bishop Walsh's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 165th in Maryland, while Chestnut Ridge are ranked 541st in Pennsylvania).

Bishop Walsh's victory bumped their record up to 9-11-2. As for Chestnut Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Bishop Walsh will challenge Cumberland Valley Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Chestnut Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
