Basketball Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by the Northland Lutheran Wildcats and fell 59-32. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-36 back in December of 2024.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Northland Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Marion has already played their next contest, a 49-35 win against Stockbridge on the 10th. Northland Lutheran will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bowler at 7:00 p.m. on February 17th.
