Basketball Recap: Wylie Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wylie can now relate to. They took a 70-56 bruising from the Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Panthers and Pantherettes are ranked eighth).

Wylie's loss dropped their record down to 23-12. As for Duncanville, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 23-7.

Wylie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Duncanville, they will take on Grand Oaks on Monday. One thing working in Duncanville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 games.
