Volleyball Recap: Ford Panthers vs. Wills Point Tigers
Ford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They fell just short of the Wills Point Tigers by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on October 11th.
Ford took Wills Point into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-23, 25-23, 23-25, 15-6.
Wills Point found their leader in sophomore Ahrie Walden, who had 17 digs. Those 17 digs set a new season-high mark for Walden. The team also got some help courtesy of Lanie Mcclanahan, who had five digs and four aces.
Ford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Wills Point, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-19.
As of now, neither Ford nor Wills Point have any future games scheduled.
