Alexander and Austin squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Alexander had to settle for second. They came up short against the Maroons, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their 22-game winning streak.

Sofia Gonzalez paced Alexander's offense, picking up ten kills. Gonzalez got some help from Amari Randez and her 17 assists.

Alexander's defeat dropped their record down to 31-5. As for Austin, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 39-6.

Alexander does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Austin, they will face off against Dripping Springs on Monday.
