Softball Recap: West Brook Wins Going Away Against Port Arthur Memorial

West Brook's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Port Arthur Memorial Titans with a sharp 11-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bruins considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Sarah Roland (2026) made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Kehaira Haines (2025) was a standout: she scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Madelynn Salvaggio (2025), who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

West Brook's win bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Port Arthur Memorial, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.
