Soccer Recap: Youngsville Academy Charter Starts Season with Loss at Home

Youngsville Academy Charter unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Howard Eagles by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Youngsville Academy Charter of the 5-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Tyler Puetzer and Javier Ochoa scored all four of Youngsville Academy Charter's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Coming up, Youngsville Academy Charter will face off against St. David's at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Howard will be paying especially close attention to the Firebirds' match: after the Firebirds face off against St. Thomas More Academy, they'll take on Howard again at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
