Baseball Recap: Statesville Christian Takes a Loss

Statesville Christian's last matchup with Hickory Christian Academy could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Lions lost 13-0 to the Knights. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Statesville Christian now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Hickory Christian Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Statesville Christian will head out to challenge Sheets Memorial Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hickory Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Cornerstone Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.5 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
