Softball Recap: Delphi Community Comes Up Short

Delphi Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Benton Central Bison. The Oracles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bison apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Mady Anderson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylynn Spitznagle, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI.

Delphi Community now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Benton Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Delphi Community didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-8 victory against Eastern on the 29th. As for Benton Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-1 defeat against Tri-County on the 26th.
