Baseball Recap: Out-of-Door Academy Comes Up Short

Out-of-Door Academy has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.5 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They lost 11-1 to the Bishop Verot Vikings. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Thunder have suffered since March 18th.

Out-of-Door Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8. As for Bishop Verot, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-1.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Out-of-Door Academy will challenge Imagine School at North Port at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Verot, they will face off against Neumann at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Celtics' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
