They managed a 54-49 win over Concord Academy. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cougars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Eagles are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, Wesleyan Christian Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They walked away with a 65-53 win over the Cougars.

Carmel Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 12-6.

Carmel Christian strolled past Wesleyan Christian Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 91-75. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carmel Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
