Soccer Recap: Miyamura Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Miyamura can now relate to. They came up short against the St. Pius X Sartans on Friday, falling 4-1. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for Miyamura, who until this match were averaging 0.43 goals allowed.

Their goal came courtesy of AVELINA GONZALES, who's now up to 11 this season.

Miyamura's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4-1. As for St. Pius X, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Miyamura does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Pius X, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Albuquerque Academy on the 4th.
