Uwharrie Charter Academy better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Southwestern Randolph's game on Wednesday is any indication, that's when Southwestern Randolph really gets things going. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over Clinton. The result was nothing new for Southwestern Randolph, who have now won ten matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Clinton with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Fernando Hernandez-Dominguez (2), Aaron Avina (2), and Chris Betancourt.

Meanwhile, Uwharrie Charter Academy lost 7-1 to Richmond Senior last Wednesday. Uwharrie Charter Academy were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

Uwharrie Charter Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Southwestern Randolph, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.

Everything went Southwestern Randolph's way against Uwharrie Charter Academy in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Southwestern Randolph made off with a 10-1 win.
