Softball Game Preview: Russellville Golden Tigers vs. Ardmore Tigers

Russellville is 2-8 against Ardmore since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Golden Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 10:45 a.m.

Russellville heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Monday. They lost 11-1 to Lawrence County. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Golden Tigers have suffered against the Red Devils since May 2, 2023.

Meanwhile, Ardmore entered their tilt with Priceville on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Bulldogs 12-1.

Ardmore's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-17-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Russellville, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-29-1.

Russellville came out on top in a nail-biter against Ardmore in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. Do the Golden Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
