Addison Trail is a perfect 10-0 against Proviso East since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Blazers will face off against the Pirates at 4:45 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Downers Grove South hit Addison Trail with a four-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blazers took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Blazers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Proviso East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 16-4 to Trinity.

Marisela Galvan was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jazlean Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Proviso East's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Addison Trail, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Everything went Addison Trail's way against Proviso East in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Addison Trail made off with a 14-0 win. Do the Blazers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
