Palo Verde strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Shadow Ridge Mustangs as they made off with a 13-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won seven games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Ava Koenig made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Halle Law was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayleen Enriquez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Palo Verde kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shadow Ridge only managed three hits.

Palo Verde's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Shadow Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Palo Verde didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-3 victory against Liberty on the 21st. As for Shadow Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-5 win against Coronado on the 21st.
