Baseball Recap: Brentsville District Finds Home Field Redemption Against Elmira

There's no place like home for Brentsville District, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Elmira Express 12-0 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Elmira's batters probably weren't too happy with Nick McKinney, who pitched a no hitter (he gave up four walks). McKinney has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Levi Fear was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeffery Cook, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Brentsville District is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Elmira, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Brentsville District didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-4 loss against Sutherland on the 16th. As for Elmira, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-1 defeat against Penfield on the 16th.
