Stat Freaks: South Carolina ironman Dawan Rice tops this week's high school football statistical standouts

Senior had six sacks and 135 rushing yards in playoff victory.

With playoffs in most states upon us, this past weekend of high school football saw no shortage of insane statistical performances. We are highlighting some of those in the latest edition of Stat Freaks of the Week.

Dawan Rice of C.A. Johnson (Columbia) tops the list after dominating on both sides of the football in a South Carolina playoff win Friday.

The senior account for 135 rushing yards in a 35-12 win. Defensively, he was in the backfield all night where he sacked the quarterback six times and had 10 tackles.

Levi Ellis of Elyria Catholic (Elyria, Ohio) is another Stat Freak who dominated on both sides of the ball. The senior captain went over 2,000 rushing yards on the season with a 210-yard, four-touchdown performance in a playoff win. Defensively, he intercepted two passes and had 15 tackles.
