Volleyball Recap: Brad Chier's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Victory Christian Academy over High Tech Mesa

Victory Christian Academy lost against High Tech Mesa back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 3-2. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Victory Christian Academy started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 22-25, 25-15, 25-22, 21-19.

Victory Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brad Chier, who had 20 digs, 19 kills, and two blocks. Chier has been hot for a while, having posted seven or more kills the last 12 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Dill, who had 21 kills, 17 digs, and two aces.

Victory Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for High Tech Mesa, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.
