After losing to Ellwood City the last time they met, Neshannock decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lancers secured a 26-20 W over the Wolverine on Friday. The win almost wasn't to be: the Lancers were down 14-0 in the second quarter.

Although Ellwood City took the loss, they still got scores from Richard Cureton, Tyler Smiley, and Anthony Barberio.

The victory made it two in a row for Neshannock and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 26 points in those games. As for Ellwood City, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Neshannock and Ellwood City will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Lancers are set to face off against their familiar foe Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ellwood City will take on rival Mohawk Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
