Basketball Recap: Burns Sci-Tech Takes a Loss

Burns Sci-Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Halifax Academy Knights, falling 83-49. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-44 back in November of 2025.

Burns Sci-Tech's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Halifax Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Burns Sci-Tech won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Crooms Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.37 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Halifax Academy, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Crescent City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will be up against the Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
