Volleyball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central lost to Chicopee Comp on April 1st and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Colts, falling 3-0. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-13, 25-9.

Chicopee Comp found their leader in sophomore Marek Strojvus, who had five digs and four aces.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Chicopee Comp, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will welcome Agawam at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chicopee Comp, they will square off against Barnstable at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
