Softball Recap: St. Marys Takes a Loss

St. Marys entered their contest against Lake-Lehman on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Flying Dutch took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights.

St. Marys saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Giuliana Muccio, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Another was Molly Hanslovan, who earned two runs and one stolen base.

St. Marys' defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Lake-Lehman, their win was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Marys will face off against Elk County Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake-Lehman, they will square off against Council Rock South at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
