Hilo hasn't had much luck against Konawaena recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Vikings will welcome the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Hilo slipped by Kamehameha Hawai'i 7-6. The seven-point effort marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Konawaena came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 39-14 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won six contests by more than 24 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Hilo's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Konawaena, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
