Sandusky got themselves on the board against Capac on Friday, but Capac never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Chiefs with a sharp 16-0 win. With that victory, the Wolves brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Peyton Bowerman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. He also put up three RBI, which were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Nathan Ball was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those RBI were his first of the season. Daniel Tovar was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Sandusky always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Sandusky and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Capac, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sandusky will venture away from home to square off against Millington at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Capac, they will head out to face off against Cass City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Red Hawks will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
