Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Lemont's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Lemont won the last time they faced Oak Lawn and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Lemont HS put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 14-2 win. Considering the Lemont HS have won 20 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lemont is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Oak Lawn, they moved to 18-13 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lemont will take on Yorkville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Oak Lawn, they will challenge York at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
