Shenandoah Valley Academy hasn't had much luck against Eastern Mennonite recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Stars will look to defend their home field against the Flames at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Shenandoah Valley Academy is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They came up short against Blue Ridge, falling 15-0. That's two games in a row now that the Stars have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Meanwhile, Eastern Mennonite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 17-3 to Fishburne Military.

Eastern Mennonite saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Stoltzfus, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those doubles were Stoltzfus' first of the season. Mani Babar was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Eastern Mennonite's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Shenandoah Valley Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
