Basketball Recap: Culver Community Comes Up Short

Culver Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by the Triton Trojans 72-16. The Cavaliers lost against the Trojans in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 61-54 score last time.

Culver Community's loss came despite strong showings from John Carr and Braylon Jackson. Carr posted seven points, while Jackson had five points. Kolton Howard also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Culver Community's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Triton, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

While Culver Community had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
