Volleyball Recap: St. David's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

St. David entered their tilt with Pima on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Roughriders by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The win didn't come easy: Pima scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 20-25, 25-20, 25-22.

Paisley Gooding paced St. David's offense, picking up 14 kills. Gooding got some help from Emma Hart and her 40 assists. Paige Evans controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

St. David's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Pima, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. St. David will face off against Valley Union at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pima, after both having extra time off, they and Gilbert Classical Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on the 10th.
