Softball Recap: Buckeye Central Bucks vs. Colonel Crawford Eagles
Buckeye Central extended their losing streak to six on Wednesday, dropping them down to 2-13. They lost 12-2 to the Colonel Crawford Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-1 on Tuesday.
Buckeye Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophie West, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
As for Colonel Crawford, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-7. Considering they have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
On Colonel Crawford's side, Olivia Friley was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most hits Friley has posted over her last 11 matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Allen, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Looking ahead, Buckeye Central will venture away from home to take on Plymouth at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Colonel Crawford, they will welcome Bucyrus at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
