Softball Recap: Minnechaug Regional Comes Up Short

Minnechaug Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-2 to the Westfield Bombers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bombers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-4 two weeks ago.

Minnechaug Regional saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Veronica Ouimet, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Minnechaug Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Westfield, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Minnechaug Regional will head out on the road to square off against Longmeadow at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westfield, they will be playing at home against Greenfield at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
