Softball Recap: Montgomery Catholic Comes Up Short

Montgomery Catholic dropped to 23-17 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Prattville Christian Academy Panthers by a score of 17-16. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

As for Prattville Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games.

For Prattville Christian Academy's part, the team relied heavily on Chasiti Lindsey, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Lindsey a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Peyton Thrash, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

As of now, neither Montgomery Catholic nor Prattville Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
