West Monona never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on the Ridge View Raptors with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Spartans have won five matchups by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

West Monona's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Ridge View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Looking ahead, West Monona will challenge Kingsley-Pierson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 3.4, the Panthers 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Ridge View, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 19-5 victory against South O'Brien on the 10th.
