New Hope hasn't had much luck against North Jackson recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The New Hope Indians are taking a road trip to challenge the North Jackson Chiefs at 3:30 p.m. New Hope is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

New Hope barely beat Lee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. New Hope put the hurt on Lee with a sharp 12-2 victory on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Generals: they've now won seven in a row.

Grant Maples was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Andrew Dudley also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

New Hope was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday North Jackson sidestepped Sylvania for a 5-4 victory.

The win got North Jackson back to even at 2-2. As for New Hope, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

New Hope couldn't quite finish off North Jackson in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 and fell 6-4. Can New Hope avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
