Volleyball Recap: Atlantic Shores Christian Takes a Loss

Atlantic Shores Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Seahawks of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-19, 25-19.

Jasmine Gebara paced Atlantic Shores Christian's offense, picking up six kills. Gebara got some help from Brooke Leonard and her 14 assists. Sarah Moyer controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy found their leader in sophomore Eleanor Smith-Jones, who had 15 digs.

Atlantic Shores Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, they moved to 4-10 with that win, which also ended their five-match losing streak.

Atlantic Shores Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Gateway Christian on the 9th. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Walsingham Academy on the 7th.
