Softball Recap: St. Rose Takes a Loss

St. Rose and Immaculata squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but St. Rose had to settle for second. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 11-3. The Purple Roses just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

St. Rose's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Immaculata, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.

St. Rose does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Immaculata, they will square off against St. Thomas Aquinas at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
