Basketball Recap: Bogalusa Takes a Loss

Bogalusa's game on Wednesday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 54-46 to the Springfield Bulldogs. The Lumberjacks haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Leading Springfield to victory were Chase Burches and Dequane Davis. Burches went 8-for-14 en route to 19 points in addition to seven boards and three steals, while Davis went 6-for-11 on his way to 16 points along with six assists and three steals. Davis has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 16 times he's played. Rowen Harris was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Bogalusa's defeat dropped their record down to 5-22. As for Springfield, they pushed their record up to 17-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Bogalusa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-47 loss against Albany on the 7th. As for Springfield, they have also already played their next match, a 58-46 victory against Doyle on the 7th.
